An idea born after a night drinking wine and chatting with her girlfriends,  Chris Belin imagined an event for women to network and shop from other women-owned businesses, with the proceeds going to a local charity. Today, Sip. Shop. Support. is an event hosted annually by WINC to support our local women: from the women who run their own businesses, to the women (or their children) in need, and all others in between.

Sip.Shop.Support. 2023 raised $10,330.87.

Sip.Shop.Support. 2023 took place on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 12-4pm at Events by Sto Lat, and raised over $10,000. It was our biggest event yet and highest proceeds to date! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT, Buffalo!

P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that provides families in Western New York facing pediatric cancer with critical programs that offer financial, practical and emotional support from diagnosis to recovery and bereavement.

November 2022

WINC hosted the fifth Sip. Shop. Support on November 12th at Events by Sto Lat. The event featured women-owned businesses through vendor tables, sponsorship levels and donations.

Sip.Shop.Support. 2022 raised over $8700 for Girls on the Run Buffalo. At Girls on the Run Buffalo, teaching critical life skills is the cornerstone of their research-based programs. Meeting in small teams, trained volunteer coaches inspire girls of all abilities to strengthen confidence and other important life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and physical activity.

Members of WINC Buffalo met up with Katie and Meaghan from Girls on the Run Buffalo on a chilly afternoon in December to present the proceeds!

Here’s what they said: “We are grateful for the amazing donation to the Girls on the Run Buffalo scholarship fund. Thank you to all the amazing women who are a part of WINC. This donation should help with our goal of helping 750 girls this spring!!”

November 2021

After a missed year due to the pandemic, WINC hosted the fourth Sip. Shop. Support. The event took place at The BFLO Event Center on November 12th from 11am until 2pm. The event featured women-owned businesses through vendor tables, sponsorship levels and donations.

The proceeds of $6300 went to Dress for Success Buffalo. The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to thrive in work and in life.

The members of WINC were ecstatic to work with Michele from Dress for Success and be able to provide her financial support to keep the lights on at Dress for Success’ office. Michele was a ray of light and her dedication to the cause rallied everyone around her.

December 2019

In December WINC hosted the third Sip. Shop. Support. event of 2019. The event took place at Buffalo Riverworks on  December 3rd from 6pm until 9pm featured 36 woman owned businesses from around the Western New York.

The proceeds from the event benefited the Western New York Woman's foundation. The WNY Women's Foundation's mission is to create a culture of possibility so each woman and girl can live, grow and lead to her fullest potential. They believe that when women and girls are secure, entire communities are stronger.

WINC was thrilled to have the opportunity once again in 2019 to bring so many people together to support our local women owned businesses and a local foundation making a difference in our local community. The event raised just over $3000 for the WNY Women's Foundation.

2018

Chris had an ambitious vision in the fall of 2018 and she was determined to see it through. Singlehandedly, and with only 6 weeks to make it happen, Chris pulled together a couple handfuls of local women-owned business to set up shopping booths one evening at Pearl Street Brewery. The women who attended enjoyed a glass of wine while they shopped and felt united in their support of the local women vendors. Chris raised over $600 that evening to benefit Haven House.
